The Purple Patch™ system integrates two groundbreaking technologies:

• CardioPoint: a deep-needle cardiac pacing solution

• NeuroSeal: a biointegrated active bandage with blood filtration and drug delivery

Together, they form a modular, AI-coordinated care platform that sustains life autonomously in the critical minutes before EMS, fire, or military medics arrive. The system interfaces with a 911 Smart Phone and a Miniaturized ICU Emergency Kit, enabling real-time triage, vitals monitoring, and medical decision support in resource-limited environments.

Technical Overview (PhD Biomedical Focus)

1. NeuroSeal – Biointegrated Hemorrhage and Thoracic Trauma Solution

A field-deployable bandage that stabilizes chest wounds, preserves blood, and delivers therapy through precision targeting:

• Blood Capture & Reinfusion
  Dual-layer microporous membranes filter blood from lungs, chest, mouth, and nose while preserving red blood cells. Substrates neutralize bacteria, gunpowder, and heavy metals.

• Field Oxygenation
  Blood is reoxygenated using hollow-fiber exchange membranes and optional solid-state O₂ generators.

• Aortic Loop Needle Access
  A hollow, acupuncture-style needle accesses the aortic loop for rapid neuro-targeted drug delivery:

  • Vasopressors (e.g., norepinephrine)

  • Neuroprotectants (e.g., magnesium sulfate)

  • Anti-clotting agents (e.g., bivalirudin, kaolin)

• Exit Wound & Esophageal Sealing
  Shape-memory foams, polymer plugs, and catheterized expansion chambers isolate wound channels and seal off the esophagus, preventing aspiration and blood loss.

• Smart Adhesion on Wet Surfaces
  Hydrogel adhesives and bio-inspired dopamine binders ensure reliable seal even under extreme hemorrhagic or irregular surface conditions.

• Limb & Extremity Application
  Adaptive compression maintains distal perfusion—surpassing traditional tourniquets—while still controlling hemorrhage.

2. CardioPoint – Sub-Cardiac Electrical Pacing Device

This deep-needle pacing system revives the heart in prehospital settings where defibrillators are unavailable or ineffective.

• Dual-needle closed-loop stimulation mimics targeted defibrillation

• Triggers cardiac activation in field cardiac arrest scenarios

• Fully synchronized with NeuroSeal for coordinated systemic revival

Every Purple Patch device becomes a sensor, collecting and transmitting:
