911 Rx Drone™

Medicine. Anywhere. Anytime.

Patent Pending

The 911 Rx Drone™ program delivers a scalable fleet of medical and pharmaceutical delivery drones, designed for deployment across emergency, disaster, and civilian healthcare environments. The project bridges Western Michigan University’s aviation and autonomous systems research with Design Team Collaboration (DTC-Intl) and Machine Design Network (MDN) concurrent prototyping. The result: a systemized, service-oriented ecosystem that combines hardware, software, and service infrastructure under the 911 Emergency Medical Informatics umbrella.

Item 1 – Platform Scaling (Expanded)

1A. Ultra-Small Units (Rx Swift™)

  • Payload: 1–5 lbs (epi-pens, Narcan, AED pads, insulin pens).

  • Range: 5–15 miles, optimized for urban deployment.

  • Design: Lightweight composite frame with noise-reduced propellers.

  • Deployment: Street-level deliveries within city grids, rooftop to doorstep.

  • Target Manufacturers: Skydio (U.S.), Zipline Micro, WMU in-house lab prototypes.

1B. Mid-Scale Units (Rx Shield™)

  • Payload: 25–50 lbs (blood packs, vaccines, Purple Patch modules).

  • Range: 20–60 miles, suburban and regional coverage.

  • Design: Hybrid VTOL with cryogenic/refrigerated pod integration.

  • Deployment: Hospital-to-hospital transport, rural health outreach.

  • Target Manufacturers: Matternet, Wing (Alphabet), MDN prototype frames.

1C. Disaster Units (Rx Relief™)

  • Payload: 100–200 lbs (medical pallets, trauma kits, portable kiosks).

  • Range: 50–150 miles with solar-assisted loiter.

  • Design: Redundant multi-rotor/VTOL with foldable wings.

  • Deployment: Emergency zones, hurricane/earthquake relief drops.

  • Target Manufacturers: Zipline Platform 2, Doosan, concurrent MDN scale-up builds.

1D. Tactical Units (Rx Tactical™)

  • Payload: 200–500 lbs (military trauma kits, battlefield re-supply).

  • Range: 60–200 miles, stealth-optimized profile.

  • Design: Military-grade composites, encrypted command links, swarm-capable.

  • Deployment: Battlefield trauma support, medevac supply.

  • Target Manufacturers: General Atomics small VTOL, Skunk Works collaboration potential, MDN defense prototypes.

Parallel Anode+ Development – Propulsion & Battery Life Extension

Four areas of concurrent Anode+ R&D for Rx Drones:

  1. Extended Cycle Batteries: 2–3× recharge life by minimizing recombination losses and steering electron flow to bypass thermal buildup.

  2. Hybrid Power Integration: ANODE+ modules as “burst packs” for high-thrust liftoff or battlefield rapid delivery.

  3. Rapid Recharge Docks: MDN prototypes for solar/microgrid drone stations using ANODE+ assisted charging, 5–10× faster recharge than Li-ion alone.

Technology & Manufacturer Alignment

  • Western Michigan University Aviation: FAA certification pathways, student research on BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations.

  • Zipline: Mid/large scale drone baseline for healthcare delivery.

  • Matternet: Urban prescription delivery architecture.

  • Alphabet Wing: FAA-approved last-mile flight corridors.

  • Skydio: Autonomy & obstacle avoidance.

  • Doosan Mobility: Hydrogen hybrid VTOL for extended range.

  • Machine Design Network: Custom ANODE+ propulsion units, modular composite frames, rapid prototyping.

Financials – 911 Rx Service (Operations)

911 Rx Service™ will act as the subscription-based operations platform to manage the drone fleets, service drones, and fulfill delivery requests from hospitals, pharmacies, and emergency systems.

Business Model

  • Hospitals/Pharmacies: Pay-per-delivery + fleet access subscription.

  • Emergency Services: Government contracts for 911-linked dispatch.

  • Military: Direct procurement and service contracts.

Financial Outline (Year 3 Target)

  • Fleet Build Cost (per drone):

    • Ultra-small: $6k–$12k

    • Mid-scale: $40k–$90k

    • Disaster: $150k–$250k

    • Tactical: $400k–$750k

  • Operational Cost (per delivery): $18–$55 (all-in, depending on size/range).

  • MSRP Service Fee: $65–$120 per delivery for civilian market.

  • Annual Subscription: $250k–$2.5M (hospital/regional).

  • Target Year 3 Fleet: 2,500 units (across tiers).

  • Net Revenue (Yr 3): ~$450M – $600M.

  • Gross Margin: 52–64%.

  • ROI Payback: 18–24 months post-launch.

Integration with 911 Ecosystem

  • 911 Phone: AI dispatch, route optimization, secure handoff validation.

  • Purple Patch & CardioPoint/AortaPoint: Drone-supplied consumables and drug packs.

  • 911 Informatics Kiosk: Auto-request Rx drones for triage-driven supply chain.
